Saints and Furies [in progress]

My current project, Saints and Furies, comments on the current war in Ukraine by adapting iconographic traditions to explore two intertwined questions: in these dire circumstances, when might even a saint lose hope — or composure? And in our modern world, can we ever be certain which of the figures are the saints?
